Rescuers have pulled off the daring mission, international crews working with Thai authorities and pulling the four soccer players and coach out of the Northern Thai caves.

The Cave Divers Association of Australia have released a statement on the event, providing insight into just how difficult the mission would be.

The Association says that conditions faced by the divers and those providing in-water support are by all accounts some of the most challenging ever faced.

The CDAA says the divers would have had to make headway against a torrent of flowing water and mud in near zero visibility.

The distance between the chamber and base camp was in excess of two kilometres - with divers hauling heavy equipment.

They have reiterated they are not directly involved with the rescue.

The CDAA have released a second statement following the successful mission, read it in full by clicking the link!
