Goulburn Valley News - Hit GV 96.9 Tuesday August 22 2017

A Shepparton resident has gone 4 days before realising their home had been the victim of a drive-by shooting.

Early on Tuesday last week the unknown offender shot at a property on McCubbin Drive, with the bullet fired through the front window and into the bedroom.

The victim slept through the incident and only noticed the bullet holes on Saturday.

Police were able to recover the projectile, but remain uncertain as to the motive of the shooting.

Anyone who saw the incident is urged to come forward

Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes has announced a new deal between Euroa Health and Goulburn Valley Health, in a deal to see public hospital patients treated sooner.

It allows those in Euroa to be treated locally, rather than having to be transported to Shepparton.

So far, several patients have been admitted to the Euroa program under the arrangement.

It was another big weekend in Goulburn Valley Netball --- The top 6 picture becoming clearer a round out from finals.

Echuca were too strong for Rochester, winning comfortably at home 59 to 33.

It was closer in Shepparton though --- the crosstown clash between the Shepp Swans and Shepparton being up for grabs early.

It was 10 all at first break and 23-19 at half time, with the Bears then stretching the lead to take a 41 to 50 win.

Elsewhere Kyabram smashed Seymour, Euroa easily over Tatura, and Benalla getting it done against Mansfield.

The top 6 not yet set though --- Echuca in 7th just 2 points off the Shepp Swans and Euroa.
