Three people have been arrested, with Task Force Echo proving successful on Saturday.

Search warrants were executed in Shepparton and Echuca, with a 29 Shepparton man busted as well as a 32 year old Echuca man and a 34 year old Echuca woman.

Firearms , ammunition and drugs were seized by task force echo, including items such as knives and a baton.

A focus on regional areas is continuing, with bike gangs targeted for criminal activity by the task force.

Those arrested are helping police with their enquiries.

Member for Euroa Steph Ryan has spoken out against regional petrol prices, urging families and businesses across the electorate to make their voices heard.

Residents will gain the opportunity to do just that in an upcoming parliamentary inquiry.

Ms Ryan says for many regional Victorians, public transport just isn’t an option and private transport is the only reliable means of getting from A to B.

A dairy group's taken its campaign against so called milk derived from plants to the next level, starting a change.org petition this week.

Dairy Connect, which represents farmers in our region, want a clearer distinction between almond - hazelnut - soy milks and cow milk.

CEO of Dairy Connect Shaughn Morgan says the dairy community's done it tough over the past 18 months.

The Picola and District footy league now and just the 1 close contest on the weekend in the North West division, Picola United having to fight for their 15 point win over Deniliquin.

After looking stronger in the first quarter to lead by 9 points, United went scoreless in the second quarter.

That let Deni fight back and take a 28 to 21 lead at the half, Picola then reclaiming the lead in the third before closing out the match 12.5 (77) to 9.8 (62).

Elsewhere Tocumwal were far too strong for Mathoura with a 94 point win, Strathmerton took home a 92 point win against Jerilderie and Blighty demolished Yarroweyah.
