A young boy has been injured after a collision in Shepparton yesterday. 

It is alleged a 24 year old man travelling in an SUV failed to give way turning into Archer street from Asim drive, colliding with a small car.

The three involved were taken to GV health, including the driver of the SUV, and a woman and her 3 year old son travelling in the small car.

Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell has again turned the attention to the need for radiotherapy services at Goulburn Valley Health.

The call comes following a report Ms Lovell detailed in Parliament, showing people in regional areas such as Shepparton were actually more susceptible to contracting some cancers.

The Garvan Research Foundation study identifies five main challenges to health in rural areas, including access, standards of care and environmental factors.

A corrections order for a man who threatened to shoot at several businesses across Shepparton in a drunken Facebook post from February 11.

21 year old Kitt Williams escaped a prison sentence, instead handed a 12 month community corrections order.

Mr Williams pleaded guilty to the charges of using a carriage service to harass or menace. He will also undergo assessment and treatment for drug abuse and dependency, as well as a mental health and behaviour assessment.
