Greater Shapparton City Council is asking the community for feedback on play equipment for a new family precinct at the northern end of Victoria Park Lake.
The feedback will be used to help select the main play equipment for the entire community to use.
Council is allocating approximately $350k for the new family play area, which will include equipment suitable for toddlers, primary school aged children and teenagers. It will include a flying fox, swings, other exciting play structures and shaded areas.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said it will be great for more families to be able to enjoy a rejuvenated Victoria Park Lake playground area.
“The family precinct project is part of the Victoria Park Lake Master Plan and will enable more Greater Shepparton residents to enjoy the area around the lake”.
“The new play structures will add another dimension to the park and will surely keep the children entertained and help them burn off some energy, so please make sure you provide your feedback,” said Cr O’Keeffe.
Along with the new toilets the family precinct will be located to ensure this potential utilisation of the area is improve at the Northern end of Victoria Park Lake.
