Since the initial green lid bins and kitchen caddies were issued 3 years ago, contamination rates have plummeted.

GSCC Director Infrastructure, Phil Hoare is praising the diligence of residents over the past year.

This has significantly contributed to the success of composting in our municipality. It has not only saved ratepayers’ money but it also has wonderful benefits for our environment, as the composting materials go back into the earth it improves the health of our soils and makes our land more productive.

- Director Phil Hoare

Council advises residents to contact them if they do not receive their bags by the end of January 2019.
