Members of the State's Opposition have visited Shepparton - to discuss surging gas and electricity prices.

Mooroopna's Gouge Drycleaning's gas bill's increased by $200 thousand recently - their electricity’s also up by $100 thousand.

Shadow Energy & Resources Minister David Southwick says they've pledged that if they're elected next year - any gas that's found in Victoria will stay in the state - to ensure the supply is stable.

Roadworks at Verney Road are a thing of the past - the popular North Shepparton arterial is now open to traffic in both directions.

The stretch from Graham Street to Elm Terrace was completed this week - after beginning in March this year.
