The sweet smell of pasty is in the air north of the Gold Coast today.
The bakers were back at work at the Yatala Pie Shop early on Monday morning, after more than a week off following the recent floods.
The ovens at the store were destroyed when it was inundated ten days ago, but the owners have managed to borrow some new ones so the shop could reopen this week.
As a special treat, the shop launched a new flavour to commemorate the weather event.
The Cyclone Debbie pie has a tropical twist with pineapple through it and a ring onto to represent the eye of the storm.
