Three bike crashes in two hours

A young cyclist has been injured on the Pimpama off-ramp, northbound on the M1.

The Queensland Ambulance Service couldn't clarify whether the boy, under the age of 10, was hit by a car or whether he fell off his bike around 6:45 on Tuesday morning.

He was taken to hospital via ambulance in a serious but stable condition, with a critical care paramedic on-board.

A QAS spokesperson said he had a fractured arm, and possible other injuries.

It wasn't the only bike-related call-outĀ paramedics attended on the Gold Coast.

A rider in his 20s was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital after he apparently ran into an open car door on Musgrave Avenue in Labrador around the same time.

While a man in his 50s was taken stable to Gold Coast Robina Hospital after a bicycle crash on The Esplanade at Burleigh Heads at about 8.30am.
