Temps Drop Below Zero On The Gold Coast

Spring might be just around the corner, but it looks like Winter isn't done with us just yet.

It was a chilly morning across the Gold Coast with Coolangatta getting down to just 3 degrees.

Locals out at Canungra felt it the most at -3.9.

The Weather Bureau says it's been an unusually cold Winter.

"A very cold air mass is spreading right to the Coast, which is reasonably unusual, but still keeping with these cold dry bursts we've been seeing for the past couple of months," said Forecaster Lachlan Stoney.

Tuesday's forecast is tops of 23 degrees in Surfers Paradise.
