Over 1000 children were rescued from locked vehicles in 2017 across Queensland.
RACQ has revealed 169 of those incidents were on the Gold Coast.
It’s not just kids being left in the car, the RACQ also rescued 101 animals out of locked vehicles on the Gold Coast.
Brisbane was the worst in the state – recording the highest number of rescues with 406 children and 161 pets trapped in cars.
The worrying figures has RACQ urging motorists to take more care with their car keys.
