Police have arrested a man over dozens of break-ins at high-rise buildings across the Gold and Sunshine Coasts over the past two months.
The 32-year-old was due in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday on a string of charges including 49 counts of burglary and 16 counts of fraud.
He is accused of scaling multiple tall buildings since May this year, some more than 20 storeys high, allegedly going from balcony to balcony to check for unlocked doors.
Police claim he stole cash, wallets and other items and later made various purchases using stolen bank cards.
Properties in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh Heads, Southport, Biggera Waters, Golden Beach, Maroochydore and Alexandra Headland were targeted.
