Major Gold Coast Shopping Centres To Be Connected To Light Rail Network

Getting to the Gold Coast's major shopping centres could be as easy as hopping on a tram in the future, with council looking at extending the light rail to Harbour Town and Robina.

The city's transport and infrastructure committee has given the nod to a congestion busting plan for the next decade, which indicates where locals want to see the G:Link head next.

According to community feedback, Gold Coasters want the shopping centres to be connected to the light rail network, after Stage Three from Broadbeach to Coolangatta is constructed.

Possible offshoots from Nobby Beach to Robina and from the Gold Coast University Hospital to Biggera Waters will be investigated fully in the next five to ten years.
