New figures have reveal the Commonwealth Games have helped create more than 35,000 jobs on the Gold Coast.
The employment boom has resulted in job ads significantly outpacing Brisbane and the rest of Queensland.
SEEK managing director Kendra Banks claimed it had also helped put a big dent in unemployment figures.
"We've seen very strong growth in job ads, and that's translated into a positive impact on the unemployment rate," said Banks.
"Compared to a few years ago, the Gold Coast's drop in unemployment has really outpaced that of Queensland and Brisbane.
In addition to paid employment, 15,000 volunteer roles have been offered and accepted from a total of 47,000 applications.
