Two women have broken out of jail in Numinbah Valley.
Police are on the hunt for the 21-year-old and 24-year-old, who escaped the Numinbah Correctional Centre late on Sunday night.
Prison guards noticed they were gone after a headcount at 11pm.
21-year-old Abagail Braf was in custody for assaulting police.
She is described as Caucasian, 168cm tall with hazel eyes and bleach-blonde hair and has a number of tattoos including the words "death" and "life" on her legs.
24-year-old Tegan Simpson is on remand for receiving stolen goods and is described as Caucasian, 163cm tall with a slim build, dark hair and a multiple tattoos, including the word "strength" on her face.
