Gold Coast woman choked, doused in petrol in alleged domestic dispute

A man will be extradited to the Gold Coast from New South Wales, accused of choking and dousing a woman in petrol during a domestic dispute at Upper Coomera.

The 45-year-old victim received treatement for the injuries she sustained in the alleged attack last Thursday night.

The 50-year-old will face Southport Court on Friday.

He has been charged with a string of offences intended to cause grievous bodily harm (domestic violence offence), choking, suffocating, strangulation associated with domestic violence, wilful damage (domestic violence offence), stealing (domestic violence offence) and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm associated with domestic violence offence.
