Another fire ban has been put into effect across the South-East as the bushfire risk climbs for the Gold Coast.
The weather over the next few days is expected to lead to some challenging fire fighting conditions, with the fire danger up to 'very high' across the region, including 'severe' in some parts.
Open flames will need to be extinguished and any fire permits have been cancelled.
The ban is set to remain in place until midnight on Monday August 20, however there are a few exceptions.
Fires for properly constructed gas or electric barbeques are still allowed, as long as they are not left unattended, while the use of power tools is also accepted.
