A man has been charged with a string of drug and unlicensed driving offences after being pulled over on the Tweed Coast overnight.
Officers stopped his Audi A4 on Leisure Dr in Banora Point around 9:20pm on Wednesday, and had a chat with the driver before searching the vehicle.
They claim to have uncovered various drugs in the car, as well as drug paraphernalia, cash and mobile phones.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to the Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with seven counts of possessing a prohibited drug, two counts of supplying a prohibited drug and driving while unlicensed, as well as one count each of dealing in proceeds of crime, possessing/attempting to prescribed a restricted substance, and failing to appear in accordance with bail acknowledgment.
The man was due to appear in Byron Bay Local Court on Thursday.
