Bystanders stop accused Southport pharmacy robber
Police say he claimed he had a gun

A man is due to face court today accused over a dramatic armed robbery attempt at a pharmacy.
Police claim the 47-year-old told staff at the Marine Parade store in Southport he had a gun and threatened them around 8:30pm on Sunday.
He then allegedly ordered them to start filling a bag with medication, and that's when two bystanders stepped in.
The men grabbed the alleged offender and detained him until police arrived.
One of the men broke a knuckle during the scuffle.
The 47-year-old is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
