Boating Fatalies Drop To 10 Year Low In Queensland

Boating accidents and fatalities out on the water have hit a 10 year low across Queensland.

Seven lives were lost in marine incidents across the state in 2017 compared to 13 the year before.

On the Gold Coast 14 people were injured in boating and jet ski mishaps last year, while sadly two people were killed, including 33-year-old Jess Murray.

She died in May last year when an 11 metre cruiser crashed into the tinnie she was in while on her way to Couran Cove for a romantic weekend getaway with her boyfriend.
