Attackers gamble with man's life

Update: Police are calling for witnesses to an attack at The Star Casino in Broadbeach.

A 32-year-old man had to be taken to hospital after he was punched repeatedly on the balcony of the venue around 4am on Friday.

Investigators have now reviewed security footage of the incident and have released the description of one man wanted for questioning.

He is described as being in his mid 20s, 177cm tall with a tanned complexion, proportionate built and short, black hair.

He has a tattoo on his left arm and was wearing a white or light-pink shirt and blue jeans at the time of the assault. 

It is believed a second man may have been involved.

Earlier: Police will review CCTV footage at The Star Casino today, following an alleged assault at the licensed venue around 4 this morning.

Two men apparently approached a 32-year-old man on a balcony of the Broadbeach casino and punched him multiple times.

He fell to the ground, where they continued to attack him.

The pair then fled the scene, driving off in a taxi.

Their victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
