Fresh concerns ahead of Comm Games

All roads lead to gridlock!

There are major concerns the Gold Coast could become a parking lot in just a few short years.

According to city council blueprints released by News Corp, another 1 million cars are expected to be on the roads in 15 years.

It comes despite the 2016 data showing the main arteries are already clogged at peak hour.

Another 150,000 vehicles are set to hit the streets ahead of the Commonwealth Games next year as well, with many events taking place near key gateway roads.

They include Ross Street next to Carrara Stadium, Smith Street from the M1 to the Athlete's Village, and of course the Pacific Motorway itself.
