Parenting workshops are being held in Gippsland this week, aiming to teach attendees the 5 key principles of positive parenting.

Part of an investment package from the state government, workshops are taking place in Morwell, Warragul and Sale through the Triple P program.

Founder of the program, Professor Matt Sanders told Hit FM News this morning the workshops will provide strategies for parents to promote positive behaviour and set boundaries. "It's about having reasonable expectations of children and yourself, and taking care of yourself as a parent because if you're miserable, lonely, in conflict and not supported in your parenting role, it is so much more difficult to parent children positively."
