Korumburra has now been connected to Victoria’s water grid for the first time this week, as part of the Lance Creek Water Treatment Plant project.

The 43 million dollar plan will eliminate the need for water restrictions in the town this summer.

South Gippsland Water has spent the past few months pressure-testing around 20 kilometres of completed pipeline, and trialling different blends of chlorinated and fluoridated water. 

With work currently ahead of schedule, the towns of Nyora, Loch and Poowong are expected to be connected to the mains in November this year.
