The Committee for Moe has released a top five list of priorities, which they hope will receive federal or state funding to complete in the upcoming year.
The list includes upgrades to the interchange and car parking at the railway station, and the relocation of the Moe-Newborough netball courts.
Latrobe City Council CEO Gary Van Driel told Hit FM News this morning it's great to see the committee getting on the front foot ahead of the budget announcements. "The committees that exist in our town are very strong in their own right, and it's about how we can help them get their message through."
The five key identified projects for Moe are:
- Upgrades to the Moe Railway Station interchange and carpark
- Completion of stages 2-3 in the Moe Activity Centre plan
- Relocation of Moe-Newborough Netball Courts
- Railway Crossing Upgrade
- CFA buildings
This follows the investment in recent work done at Moe Library and Service Centre, and development of the Cricket Centre of Excellence at the Ted Summerton Reserve. Read more about it here on the Latrobe City Council website.
