Last night's federal budget announcement has revealed 132 million dollars will go towards the duplication of the Princes Highway between Traralgon and Sale.
The final two stages of the project in Kilmany and Flynn are expected to cost 165 million dollars, which will leave the state government to fund the remaining 33 million dollars.
Federal Gippsland member Darren Chester said his ongoing lobbying to his colleagues in the coalition has finally paid off.
The remaining stages are due to be completed at the start of next year.
