The Southern Metro team at Victoria Police is investigating an aggravated carjacking in Pakenham on Friday afternoon.

A 29 year old Scoresby man was parked in Savage Street, looking at his GPS, when a group of youths approached the vehicle and asked him to hand over the vehicle, his wallet and phone at gunpoint.

The gold-coloured Holden Commodore was found a short time later by police on Gallery Way.
