No Funding For West Gippsland Hospital Work, Money Allocated For Other Local Projects

This year's state budget has not allocated any funding for West Gippsland Hospital, despite 10,000 people signing a petition which called for a new facility to be built in Drouin East.

Meanwhile, Federation Training has received over 60 million dollars for their two major Gippsland campuses. Morwell received 35.5 million dollars, which will allow for upgrades and create purpose-built training facilities; and 25 million dollars will go towards an entirely new campus to be built at the Port of Sale.

In other Gippsland budget announcements, Latrobe Community Health Service will share in 6 million dollars to extend a trial of a program which is tackling abuse of the elderly.

Fitness trainer Michelle Bridges joined Nick & Zoe for a chat this week to discuss her involvement with the Black Dog Institute. Catch up with the podcast below.
