Next week a $7 billion proposal for a new international airport in our region will be presented to the Victorian State Government.

Likely to be built between Koo Wee Rup and Lang Lang, Melbourne company Paragon Premier Investment Fund will present a pitch for an airport that will service Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs and become Victoria's third major airport.

As part of the Government's long-term planning strategy, it's expected the airport will initially be able to cater for 2.8 million passengers a year.
