The 2018 Community Satisfaction Survey results for Baw Baw Shire Council were released this week, showing an overall performance rating of 50, which is the same as last year at 50.

It’s significantly lower than the statewide average of 59 and the large rural council average of 56. These results are 7 points down from the Council's high of 57 in 2014.

The telephone survey of 400 local residents, conducted by JWS Research, revealed that customer service remains the highest of the 7 performance measures at 61; and the overall council direction has improved by 3 points to 51.

The report states that consideration should be given to younger residents aged 18 to 34, as they appear to be driving the most negative opinions in customer service.
