Leongatha have secured back-to-back premiership cups after their win against Maffra in the 2018 Gippsland Football League Grand Final on Saturday.

The Parrots came from 10 points down in the final quarter to defeat Maffra Eagles 73-64 in Morwell.

Leongatha Coach Paul Carbis told Hit FM News his heart was in his mouth for most of the final quarter. "The feeling at first is a bit of a relief, and then you start to settle in, and now it's a bit of pride and joy from what the group's achieved".

Cade Maskell won the Stan Aitken Medal after kicking 5 goals in the Parrots' winning effort, while fullback Col Sanbrook took home the AFL Victoria Country Medal.

Leongatha also won the Reserves Grand Final with a 49-41 win over Maffra. In other games, Traralgon were comfortable winners over Bairnsdale 77-16 in the Under 18s game; and Bairnsdale are the Under 16s premiers after defeating Sale 69-42.
