Gippsland's gaming venues will be more closely monitored from now on.
Earlier this year, the Auditor General made a recommendation to expand the Victorian Commission for Gaming and Liquor Regulation, and there'll be two hubs set up across the state - one of them to be based in Sale.
Inspectors will travel around Gippsland and Eastern Victoria to keep an eye on gaming operations. This comes following the state budget setting aside eleven million dollars in an effort to establish a presence outside Melbourne.
Inspectors will also be based in Ararat to cover Western Victoria's gaming venues.
