Earth Resources Regulation has issued a notice to the owners of Hazelwood Power Station following an alleged breach of the company’s work plan.

The breach relates to the reduction in the number of staff employed at the mine to manage the risk of fire, which has been deemed a risk to the community since the Hazelwood Mine fire in 2014.

The notice states that Engie will have to reinstate a competent workforce 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A further investigation will determine whether any sanctions will be handed down.

Hit FM's Zoe almost threw away something really valuable. Find out what it was and catch up in the podcast below.
