The Baw Baw Shire Council spent the day in Neerim Junction yesterday supporting the community following yesterday’s dog attack which killed a 14 month old girl.

Police say the German Wirehaired Pointer attacked the girl's face while the family was in the kitchen yesterday morning. Her mother suffered minor injuries while trying to remove the dog from daughter.

Baw Baw Shire has confirmed the dog was voluntarily surrendered to council and euthanised at the family’s request.
