Victorian Nationals leader Peter Walsh has revealed that discussions have been held with power companies interested in building a new coal power station in the Latrobe Valley.
Mr Walsh presented the idea of a high-efficiency low emissions plant in September last year, but it wasn't adopted by the Liberal Party.
While the Nationals leader wasn’t able to divulge any details of who he spoke with, he did say another coal power plant would be a good investment if the political climate is right.
