Baw Baw Shire to become the home of the "world’s first extreme sport" next year when we host the World Jousting Championships!
June 2019 will see Lardner Park transform into a medieval battle ground as knights from the globe will travel out to Gippsland fight for the title.
The sport has quite the following in Gippsland already, as reigning world champion Phillip Leitch told Nick and Zoe on the show recently, ahead of Sale Show where jousting was also feautured.
Don’t stress if you aren’t so good on horseback, as the festival will have a little something for everyone. A complete medieval village, Viking battles, a knightly foot tournament, archery, a trebuchet and even a Shakespearean tavern- I’LL CHEERS TO THAT!
