That's two in two weeks

The South Gippsland Shire Council has lost its second councillor in as many weeks after Tarwin Valley representative Meg Edwards announced her resignation yesterday.

Ms Edwards cited bullying, intimidation and harassment tactics used by some members of the council as reasons for her departure, while noting their refusal to take responsibility for their actions this week as the final straw.

A Liberal candidate for November's state election, her final day will be 30th October unless a vote count-back by the Victorian Electoral Commission takes place sooner.

This comes following the resignation of councillor Maxine Kiel in late September.

As the weather warms up, Hit FM's Nick & Zoe caught up with snake catcher Phil on the show earlier this week. Catch up in the podcast below.
