1,200 Disadvantaged Gippsland Families To Benefit From New Playgroups

Around 1200 disadvantaged families will have access to extra playgroups in Gippsland over the coming months.

The state government has provided 22.1 million dollars to expand the Supported Playgroups Program, which will include families experiencing family violence, breakdown and social isolation.

Specialist training advice and referrals to additional services will be part of the playgroup program. The groups will be run by trained facilitators through organisations such as Bass Coast Health and Anglicare Victoria.
