Amazing news for Cairns motorists!
After paying far too much for petrol for years, the State’s peak motoring body has revealed Cairns has now become one of the cheapest places to fill up in Queensland.
RACQ’s monthly fuel price report showed, with an average unleaded petrol price of 132.5 cents per litre (cpl), Cairns was the second cheapest centre in regional Queensland in March. The far north city was only beaten by Bundaberg, the cheapest location, by 0.1cpl.
RACQ spokesperson Lucinda Ross said it was a huge relief for Cairns drivers who had been punished by high bowser prices for years.
