Esperance Woman Pleads Guilty

A 36 year old Castletown woman has pleaded guilty to the Esperance Magistrates Court for 183 counts of stealing from the Port of Esperance after taking more than $180,000.  

The woman was working for the Southern Ports Authority as an accounts payable officer when she had transferred the funds to various family members bank accounts. 

The 36 year old was working for the Ports Authority for 9 years but was stealing the funds between 2013 and 2017. 

She is expected to appear at the Esperance District Court in October for sentencing.
