Comedy Gold Esperance

Comedy Gold Esperance

After completing a record 11 performances in 11 days through regional and metropolitan W.A The show makes its way back to W.A for another 11 shows in 11 days.

Award winning comedians have been carefully selected to entertain audiences of both genders and all ages 15+. It’s a three generation show, Grandma should be there with her Children and Grand Children.  The content is edgy but doesn’t cross the line. It’s that type of show.

This year’s headline act will be Ben Darsow. Darsow has become Western Australia’s adopted son selling out regularly at the World Fringe Perth. He is one of the hardest working and respected comedians in the country and also travels the world performing at Edinburgh, New Zealand, Canada and New York. Darsow comes armed with a huge artillery of material to draw on and makes comedy look effortless on stage. He has too many awards and nominations to put on paper. His improv comedy is as good as any comedian in Australia.

Adelaide Fringe regular and crowd favourite Rich Naberhood will also be joining the party. Naberhood features at gigs throughout regional S.A and also does the support acts for celebrities coming to Adelaide like Sam Newman, Sam Kekovich, Chopper Read (when he was alive) etc. Rich draws material from his days growing up in Elizabeth S.A. For those not familiar with Elizabeth even the lolly teeth have teeth missing and all the banana lollies are bruised.

She’s been called Australia’s funniest Hawaiian Comedian Kehau Jackson, (she’s been called other things as well but a restraining order took care of that). Jackson has been performing in Australia since 2002 since arriving from her home town of Honolulu, Hawaii. A regular in comedy clubs and festivals around Australia and the World she is now regularly booked as one of the Country Premier Entertainers on various Cruise Ship Tours.

“…Expertise and experience stand out… Kehau Jackson can really make a person laugh…”

Your M.C for the evening is Kel Balnaves. Balnaves is originally from the country so he knows how to fix things. He is laid back, relaxed and interactive with the audience. Balnaves has twice been a Triple JJJ raw finalist and is also a regular of the Fringe Festivals around Australia. He is no stranger to the Stage also featuring as Mick Taylor in “Wolf Creek The Musical”.
