The rotunda at Cameron Park, Wellington will be refurbished with works to begin soon.
“The refurbishment will include a number of structural as well as cosmetic changes,” Dubbo Regional Council Director Parks and Landcare Service Ian McAlister said.
“The floor of the rotunda will be replaced and the existing timber balustrade will be replaced with a steel one.”
“The structure will be sanded down and repainted with an appropriate and approved heritage colour scheme.”
“Other improvements that will be undertaken include improving the airflow underneath the rotunda and installing a light under the roof line to improve visibility of the structure at night.”
“The works are scheduled to be completed by the end of June or early July which means the rotunda will be ready well before the Wellington Bicentenary events in August.”
