Temporary Closure Of Rawsonville Bridge

For Maintenance Work

Temporary Closure Of Rawsonville Bridge

Member for Dubbo, Troy Grant with Roads and Maritime Services would like to advise motorists of changing traffic conditions that will be in place on Monday 21st of May for maintenance work on Rawsonville Bridge on Rawsonville Bridge Road, 21 kilometres west of Dubbo.

Rawsonville Bridge will be temporarily closed from 10am to 2pm for bridge maintenance to be carried out.

Work has been scheduled to minimise the impact of the bridge closure on commuters, bus services and road users that travel across Rawsonville Bridge.

During the bridge closure, traffic will be detoured via Burraway Road with signs in place to direct traffic. The detour is expected to add around 20 minutes to a journey.

After the closure, maintenance work will continue to be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe including lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h, which may affect travel times.

Maintenance work is expected to be completed at the end of June, with further work planned to start next year.

Motorists should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic control and all signs.

Mr Grant and Roads and Maritime thanks the community for their patience during this important bridge rehabilitation and maintenance work.
