Off-Duty Officer Charged With Drink Driving

An off duty police officer attached to an unidentified specialist command within the Western Region has been charged with drink driving and has had his license suspended, after being stopped for a random breath test in Cootamundra.

Police say it happened at about 12.45am on Sunday on Berthong Road when the senior constable returned a positive roadside breath test.

A later breath analysis at the Cootamundra Police Station returned a reading of 0.083.

The officer has been issued with a field court attendance notice for mid-range PCA and will face court in Cootamundra on July 3.
