NSW Att. Gen. Demands Briefing On Dubbo Sex Crimes Case

NSW Attorney General Mark Speakman has demanded a briefing on a case that saw a 55 year old Dubbo man avoid Jail time after pleading guilty to 10 counts of historic child sex crimes between 1980 and 1987.

Fairfax Media reports that Mr. Speakman read about the judgement in a Sydney newspaper, which revealed that a judge imposed a suspended 2 year jail term.

Mr. Speakman has also questioned a non-publication order which is protecting the identity of the offender.
