New quarterly crime stats have been released showing that across NSW, 16 of the 17 major crime categories were stable or falling in the 24 months to December last year. The only increase was in stealing from retail stores.
Here in Dubbo, the stats have shown great improvements with a number of categories trending downwards in our backyard.
Motor vehicle theft is down 28.6% while break and enter non-dwelling was down by 43.6%.
Member for Dubbo and NSW Police Minister Troy Grant is welcoming the figures, saying they reflect the tireless efforts of local police and co-operation from the community.
