Time is running out for the community to have their say on which design they prefer for the Wellington Pool redevelopment.
“We have already had a fantastic response from the community and there is still a little bit of time left for people to view the designs and pick a favourite with the poll closing at 5pm on 20 July, 2017,” Dubbo Regional Council’s Ian McAlister said.
“I encourage everyone to visit www.dubbo.nsw.gov.au or visit either the Wellington Council building or library to view the three concept designs which were created after consultation with the Wellington Community.”
“As well as a poll we are also asking for written submission from any residents who have suggestions for improvements or changes for the designs.” The three designs all include a warm water exercise and learn to swim pool, children’s playground, a splash pad and a kiosk and social area. Two of the major decisions residents will be required to vote on are the installation of either a six or eight lane Olympic length swimming pool and if the position of the entrance will be on the North-East side, or remain in its existing position or be moved to the North-East side of the Complex.
“Council is thrilled to be working alongside the Wellington community with this project and we are confident that we can deliver the best facility for all residents. Already a number of suggestions that have been identified by members of the community have been considered and will be incorporated into the final master plan for the Complex,” Mr McAlister said.
