Huge Weekend In Central West League & Union

It was a huge weekend in Warren, with players from across the region taking on the NSW Country Rugby Union Championships.

Contesting the Caldwell Cup, Central West made up of young guns from our backyard, took on Illawarra in the finals following stunning game play over the 2 day contest.

Despite their best efforts, with an opening try from Orange Emu's Tom Green, Illawarra fought harder defeating Central West 37-15.


In Rugby League...

The Tooheys New Group 11 First Grade Competition kicked off over the weekend, with Round 1 seeing some strong game play.

In Dubbo, the CYMS used their home ground advantage to dominate the Narromine Seniors 52-12.

Wellington were the winners over the Nyngan Seniors 34-6.

Parkes were too quick for Dubbo Macquarie 36-26.

And the Forbes Magpies Seniors defeated Westside 30-8.
