A joint operation targeting particular offenders took place yesterday with eight people charged across the Orana Mid Western Police District.
It comes under Operation Fireball, which formed in March this year. Police were executing search warrants in Mudgee, Wellington and Dubbo yesterday morning following ongoing inquiries.
Six men and two teenagers were arrested and taken to the Dubbo Police Station. They were charged for a string offences relating to prohibited drugs, fire arm offences and domestic violence.
Orana Mid Western Commander Peter McKenna praised the proactive work of the district and specialist teams saying 35 search warrants have been conducted across the district in the last three months.
