Police are investigating the theft of an ATM, taken from the Royal Hotel in Narromine early on Tuesday.
The alarm at the hotel was activated around 2am, waking the owner, who lives out the back.
He came out to the front of the premises, where he saw a car speed off into the distance.
After going back inside, the owner realised the ATM Machine from the hotel was missing.
Inspector Dan Skelly from the Orana Mid Western Police District said the vehicle was found burnt out in Dubbo, a short time later, and the two incidents are believed to be related.
